Pamela and Stephen
Eglinton Arms Wedding Photography

What do I say about Pamela and stephen …. The day started off with a phone call from another Photographer. Unfortunately, he had taken ill and asked me to cover the wedding, NO problem!! as I rushed to get all my gear ready.
Was a bit nervous meeting Pamela and Stephen to explain that their photographer had taken ill and I was going to photograph their wedding!
Pamela was completely undaunted and to be honest by the end of the day I felt I had known then for ages!
Once the introductions were over it was down to business with Pamela’s besties Jackie and Angie keeping us all right.
Pamela and Stephen met in a local hostilery and both being shy (seemingly!) neither wanted to make the first move! When they were finally introduced, they swapped numbers!

Pamela was attracted to Stephen’s dark hair and blue eyes whilst Stephen was captivated by Pamela’s see through top!

They eventually got together and have two wonderful children Thomas and the gorgeous Evie …
Stephen is obviously a bit of a romantic and proposed (after 15 years together, Pamela thought it was never going to happen) surrounded by a swarm of orange and white butterflies (Wedding Theme colours!) whilst on holiday in Lanzarote.
So image her surprise when he drops to one knee and produces the ring … Pamela went into fits of giggles thinking he  was joking while Stephen cut his knee open on the gravel.
Tears and laughter and the answer was a YES!! ??

Steve came to cover our wedding as our original photographer was unwell and unable to attend. Steve and Lawrence were fantastic. They settled me nerves from the moment we met…..Steve Gauld photography was DEFINITELY the right photographer for us! Approachable, professional and friendly. they captured the day perfectly and have been outstanding from start to finish…..

The atmosphere at this wedding was amazing. After the ceremony in the Eglinton Arms, Earl Hall and the legal stuff everyone headed for drinks and canapés while I grabbed the family group shots and some beautiful portraits of Pamela and Stephen on the Kissing Bridge just outside the hotel grounds before their wedding breakfast.
?

After some hilarious speeches (Special thanks to James – Pamela’s brother for the speech) Pamela and Stephen smooched to the strains of “Run” by Snow Patrol for their first dance as Husband and wife.

They have a little ‘moment’ every time they hear the song!!
I LOVE a busy dance floor and these guys owned it as the night went on!
Between times I managed to steal them away for a quick photoshoot in front of the Hotel after sunset.
A favourite picture of Pamela’s that made it into the “To Have and to Hold” wedding magazine showcasing the wonderful Eglinton Arms Hotel Wedding Venue

Some of the questions that I put forward to Pamela to give you an insight into her and Stephen’s day and some of my favourite pictures from the day. I hope you enjoy ….

What was your favourite photograph from the day?:

There are far too many to decide on just one. They are beautiful, especially the pictures on the bridge.
